Venue Audio Operator

Overview:

A full time hourly position consisting of mostly evening hours on weekends. Mandatory
vaccination is required. Present from start to finish for 90% of 125 shows a year primarily at
assigned venue however able to work any PTG Live events. Maintain department assets,
manage workflow, maintain primary venue infrastructure, and follow show procedure.
 

  • Large scale audio design and setup
  • Complex audio operation control utilizing Digico, Avid, Yamaha, Midas, L’Acoustic, and D&B
  • Truss rigging and cable design and setup
  • Professional understanding of audio components Consoles, Crossovers, Mics, & Clearcom
  • Electrical knowledge of load balancing and distribution of large 3 phase power systems
  • Awareness of industry-standard OSHA regulation, ANSI standards, and NEC.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer and IT in both Mac and PC
  • Self-motivated friendly strong communication skills
  • Willingness to teach potential future employees
  • Artistic problem solving of both people and equipment

Part-Time Positions

Artist Hospitality Lead

Overview:

PTG Live Events, LLC, more commonly known as The Pabst Theater Group, is a multi-faceted entertainment organization that hosts over 600 live events annually across four venues in downtown Milwaukee: Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater, Miller High LifeTheatre, Turner Hall Ballroom, The Backroom @ Colectivo, The Fitzgerald, and the occasional offsite event/show. The Pabst Theater Group is dedicated to providing top-notch hospitality to world-class artists and patrons alike.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • *Must be able to perform all PT Artist Hospitality Staff job duties if applicable
  • Grant touring personal access to the building
  • Walk-through of accommodations, backstage, green room, and dressing rooms with touring personnel and/or tour manager
  • Assign dressing rooms to tour
  • Serve as Hospitality DOS contact for FOH management, touring personnel, production staff, and part time staff
  • Instruct merch sellers where set up can take place FOH and who their DOS contact is for settlement
  • Retrieve guest list from tour and inform box office
  • Collect guest passes, employee passes, and tour passes. May be asked to distribute passes collected
  • Instruct all staff on execution of catering service(s), dressing room set up/breakdown, all DOS operations
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen staff on DOS catering services
  • Ensure tour and staff are performing duties and tasks on time and per the DOS schedule
  • Inventory of in-house back stock
  • Update schedules and show notes on event calendar
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
  • Order and pick up catering for touring and local personnel
  • Able to accept orders and packages upon delivery
  • Must be able to problem solve in a high stress situation in a timely manner
  • Record show notes and submit end of night reports to company database
  • Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned by upper-management, to ensure effective utilization of company resources and to ensure customer satisfaction

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree

Artist Hospitality Staff

  • Set up/attend to meal service

  • Set up dressing rooms/clean & break down dressing rooms at end of night

  • Laundry, dishes, cleaning as needed

Bar Back

Description

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be supporting the bartending staff by setting up bars for a service shift, stocking products, and performing some light cleaning. The Barback position is a great starting point for career growth within the Bartending department

Requirements

  • Some service industry experience is strongly preferred

Bartender

Description

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be serving beverages and concessions in high volume while also providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Heavy service industry experience is strongly preferred

Box Office Staff

Description:

We are looking for individuals who are comfortable in a customer service setting and have flexible working during our normal business hours (Monday-Friday from Noon-6:30pm) in addition to nights and weekends. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Overview:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Keep entirety of the dish area clean and sanitary
  • Ensure each piece of cookware, dishware, silverware leave the station clean and sanitized Close dish station at the end of shift using opening/closing procedures checklist
  • Assist Chef and Sous Chef with food prep on busy show days when extra help is needed.
  •  Assist kitchen staff in maintaining a clean kitchen while following proper sanitation guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Related work experience is helpful but not necessary
  • 1 positive job reference required
  • Ability to bend, stand, and stoop for long periods of time, and working long hours in hot conditions
  • Must be fully vaccinated
  • Knowledge and interest in food and beverage

Event Staff

Description:

Facilities Engineer

Overview: 

The Pabst Theater Group (PTG Live Events LLC) in Milwaukee Wisconsin is seeking an experienced individual to utilize advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, equipment and grounds for its venues the Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater, Miller High Life Theatre, Turner Hall Ballroom and The Back Room @ Colectivo.

Responsibilities for this position include monitoring of building systems temperatures, building-related upkeep and support the facilities standards of cleanliness, safety and functionality. Primary responsibilities are to staff evening and weekend events and shows. When needed, a flexible day schedule will be needed to help full time staff with larger projects.

The ideal candidate for this position will be “Hands On” with the ability to work under minimal supervision and utilize multiple trade skills in the areas of Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, Electrical, Painting and Roofing.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Minor theater seat repair, door repair / adjustment, fix minor plumbing issues, respond to lavatory repairs, replace light bulbs, change marquee signage, and provide general assistance to the house manager during shows and events.
  • Turn-on / off HVAC equipment and monitor during performances.
  • May including minor snow removal, general remodeling, HVAC preventive maintenance, minor plumbing upgrades, minor electrical work, and general cleaning.
  • Preventative maintenance may include changing filters, belts, or monitoring cooling system levels.
  • Perform assigned work orders.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years experience with facility maintenance experience. Preference placed on candidates with experience in multiple facilities, historic buildings and/or public assembly facilities
  • Preference placed on candidates with qualifications in the areas of Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical or Carpentry.
  • Basic computer and electronic communication skills.
  • Effective verbal communication.

Security Guard

Overview:
The Pabst Theater Group (PTG Live Events LLC) in Milwaukee Wisconsin is seeking Part-Time Security Guard to provide and enhance security services during events for operation in its venues: The Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom, and Miller High Life Theatre.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Access control to both interior and exterior locations in all venues
  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.
  • Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
  • Checking credentials and screening individuals entering venues
  • Assisting tours and production staff with parking and street management logistics
  • Assist Event Operations and Production teams with other duties as assigned
