We’re looking for a part-time Facilities Assistant professional to help preserve the beauty and function of our historic venues. You’ll be part of the crew that keeps the show running—literally—by maintaining the charm and safety of many of Milwaukee's most beloved community spaces .

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Facilities Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of theater facilities by assisting with maintenance, event setup, cleaning, safety, and equipment care. This role ensures the venue remains safe, clean, and fully functional for performers, staff, and patrons.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with the daily upkeep of theater venues, lobbies, backstage areas, and restrooms.
- Assists Facilities Manager with daytime maintenance tasks and special projects.
- Supports preventative maintenance such as filter and belt changes, equipment checks, and minor upgrades.
- Performs routine inspections of building systems, including lighting, HVAC, and plumbing.
- Assists with painting, patching, and other minor aesthetic or structural improvements.
- Helps prepare venues for events by ensuring spaces are safe, clean, and functional.
- Maintains exterior areas including landscaping, groundskeeping, the clearing of sidewalks, and the disposal of trash and recycling.
- Assists in emergencies (e.g. leaks, power outages, urgent repairs).
- Replaces light bulbs.
- Aids with minor snow removal.
- Adheres to all safety standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 years experience in facilities maintenance or comparable field.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic building systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in venues, theaters, hospitality, or customer-facing operations preferred.
- Basic experience in a variety of trade skills including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, electrical work, and general repairs.
GENERAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with basic building systems and repair tools.
- Comfort using or learning maintenance software (e.g., Upkeep).
- Attention to detail and follow-through on routine tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between venues.
- Availability for after-hours or weekend support if emergencies arise.
- Ability to be flexible and make quick decisions, inform others of decisions, and provide rationale for decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with a wide range of people from different backgrounds.
- Ability to resolve complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- Regularly required to bend, twist, climb, kneel and balance.

SCHEDULE:
Primary schedule for this position would be Monday and other weekday daytime hours. Evening and weekend availability is a plus for on-site emergencies.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment consists of historic buildings that host live music. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions while performing certain work duties. The noise level in the work environment can range from quiet to loud. Conditions can include normal to low light conditions.

Stage Door Security
PTG Live Events, LLC, more commonly known as The Pabst Theater Group, is a multi-faceted entertainment organization that hosts over 500 live events annually across six venues in downtown Milwaukee:

Primary Purpose:
The Stage Door Security position secures and guards the access to the venue from the beginning through completion of an event by checking credentials, enforcing security procedures, and providing quality customer and client services as established by PTG.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains access control to both interior and exterior locations of venues as that
relates to artists, staff and patrons.
- Communicates directions to tour personnel, renters, and vendors.
- Enforces parking permits and venue access rules.
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and
surveillance activities.
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property and access points.
- Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.
- Checks credentials and screens individuals entering the venue.
- Assists tours and production staff with parking and street management logistics.
- Adheres to company safety policies and procedures at all times. Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year of Event Security experience.
- 1 year of customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ year(s) of Event Security experience.
- 2+ year(s) of customer service experience.
- Knowledge and interest in popular culture and live entertainment.

Schedule:
Pabst Theater Group events can occur on any day of the week, with varying venue access and load-in times starting in the morning or early afternoon, and load-out times ending in the late evening. Consistent availability throughout the morning, afternoon, and evening is essential for any Security employee, however, scheduling is generally flexible to accommodate employee needs.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to cold, wet, and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Street Team - Volunteer
Overview
PTG Live Events, LLC, more commonly known as The Pabst Theater Group, is a multi-faceted entertainment organization that hosts over 600 live events annually across five venues in downtown Milwaukee: Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom, Miller High Life Theatre and The Vivarium. The Pabst Theater Group is dedicated to providing top notch hospitality to world-class artists and patrons alike.
Street Team members are responsible for distributing promotional materials (flyers/posters) at various locations, venues, and events around the Milwaukee area. This is an unpaid position based out of Downtown Milwaukee.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pick up flyers at designated pickup location(s)
- Distribute flyers at locations on designated route(s) and other areas as assigned
- Take photos of flyers/posters at these designated locations
- Capture cell phone videos at Pabst Theater Group shows
Qualifications:
- Must have a reliable method of transportation
- Must have a reliable smartphone with HD and/or 4K video capabilities (most phones within the past 3-5 years)
- Must be eager to talk to people about live music/events and willing to approach and interact with people they may not know
- Must be available for 2-3 hours each month to complete designated route during local business hours of operation
- Proficient communication skills
- Willing to travel to various parts of the Milwaukee area
- Prior street team experience is preferred, but not required
- Passion for live music, culture, and social media
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Compensation:
This is an unpaid volunteer position. However, if accepted onto the street team, you will have access to free tickets for shows at Riverside Theater, Pabst Theater, Miller High Life Theatre, Turner Hall Ballroom, and the Vivarium based on ticket availability
