Production Manager
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Production Manager oversees all technical and logistical
aspects of live events with core duties that include the advancement of shows,
communication ahead of a show (pre-planning), and coordinating with the artist to
manage the production team. This position also carries staff management and
technical oversight responsibilities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advances all event details for venue.
- Manages the production team including scheduling, training, and crew
compliance with union contract requirements. - Acts as the on-site point person in employee relations issues, including
conflict resolution. - Adheres to a budget, ensuring all costs are being tracked, monitored and
within designated limits. - Coordinates and completes payroll for venue’s production department.
- Provides technical oversight.
- Executes and solves production issues that may arise at any given point in
the show timeline. - Manages the budget and financial responsibility for production costs.
- Oversees the load in and load out of the show artists, vendors, etc.
- Ensures safety compliance and adheres to OSHA, ANSI, and NEC standards.
- Coordinates and works as liaison with all other departments.
- Adheres to all safety standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
● 4 years of experience in Production-related event planning.
● 4 years of experience in large scale audio and lighting design.
● High School diploma or GED.
● Working knowledge and proficiency in Google Docs, Gmail, and Microsoft.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business, music, or
related field.
● 1 year of supervisory experience.
● Experience with VectorWorks software.
● Experience with Adobe Suite software.
● Demonstrated understanding of lightning and audio systems software.

SCHEDULE: The majority of Pabst Theater Group events occur on nights and
weekends. Consistent availability during these times is essential. Presently this position
is the Production Manager for approximately 125 shows a year, primarily at the
assigned venue. However, the Production Manager may occasionally need to work
another PTG Live Event at another venue.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment consists of historic buildings that host
live music. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily located
indoors at Pabst Theater Group venues. Occasionally the employee is exposed to
outside weather conditions during the course of performing job duties. The noise level in
the work environment can range from quiet to loud, depending on the type of event
(including but not limited to: concerts, comedy shows, book tours, etc.). Conditions can
include normal to low light conditions.
Travel is not typically required for this position.
Part-Time Positions
Artist Hospitality Staff
PTG Live Events, LLC, more commonly known as The Pabst Theater Group, is a multi-faceted entertainment organization that hosts over 500 live events annually across six venues in downtown Milwaukee:

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Staff Artist Hospitality members are responsible for ensuring artists and their touring parties have a positive and comfortable experience during their time at PTG venues. This role involves managing all aspects of backstage hospitality, including catering, dressing room setup, and coordinating with venue staff to meet the specific needs outlined in the artist’s ‘rider.’
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets up, breaks down, and attends to catering service(s).
- Sets up and prepares dressing rooms according to the rider and instructions of the DOS manager.
- Cleans and breaks down dressing rooms at the end of show.
- Launders, folds, and puts away bath towels, stage towels and kitchen towels.
- Washes dishes that were used and cleared from the dressing rooms, or dishes used to prep items for the dressing rooms.
- Operates elevator by safely transporting passengers between floors in the building.
- Sets up and tears down furniture and supply arrangement of dining room, dressing rooms, and prep areas.
- Cleans and sanitizes as needed throughout a shift.
- Selects and plays appropriate music for tour’s backstage listening pleasure.
- Ensures refreshments are replenished throughout the day for barista, production and touring crew.
- Reviews menus with the culinary team so can understand and communicate the menu clearly to local and touring personnel
- Prepares basic food platters per rider requirements and requests as needed.
- Adheres to all safety standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma, or GED.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 1 year of customer service experience.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Event Staff position is a key customer service and operational role at Pabst Theater Group (PTG) events, whose duties include facilitating patron entry, re-entry, and departure from events, guiding patrons to relevant locations within each PTG venue, assisting patrons with ticketing issues, setting up and tearing down of seated events, and other assigned duties.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides quality customer service to all PTG patrons and clients.
- Scans physical or digital AXS tickets.
- Facilitates & monitors patron re-entry.
- Guides patrons to various destinations in PTG venues including seat locations, as well as to any bars, restrooms, Box Offices, staircases, elevators, merchandise stands, popcorn stands, & other relevant locations within each venue.
- Assists in proper set up, arrangement, and tear down of Front of House seating or tables at General Admission or Private Event venues where seating/tables are required for an event, labeling, inventory, etc.
- Cleans public-facing spaces at Vivarium, weddings, and private events; including clearing tables, picking up trash, emptying trash and recycling bins, sweeping or mopping floors, and any other cleaning duties assigned by a supervisor
- Operates Coat Check at each venue (when offered to patrons).
- Knows and follows all safety rules, such as safe work practices, and standard operating procedures.
- Adheres to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Other job duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- No direct reports.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year of customer service experience.

Street Team - Volunteer
Overview
PTG Live Events, LLC, more commonly known as The Pabst Theater Group, is a multi-faceted entertainment organization that hosts over 600 live events annually across five venues in downtown Milwaukee: Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom, Miller High Life Theatre and The Vivarium. The Pabst Theater Group is dedicated to providing top notch hospitality to world-class artists and patrons alike.
Street Team members are responsible for distributing promotional materials (flyers/posters) at various locations, venues, and events around the Milwaukee area. This is an unpaid position based out of Downtown Milwaukee.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pick up flyers at designated pickup location(s)
- Distribute flyers at locations on designated route(s) and other areas as assigned
- Take photos of flyers/posters at these designated locations
- Capture cell phone videos at Pabst Theater Group shows
Qualifications:
- Must have a reliable method of transportation
- Must have a reliable smartphone with HD and/or 4K video capabilities (most phones within the past 3-5 years)
- Must be eager to talk to people about live music/events and willing to approach and interact with people they may not know
- Must be available for 2-3 hours each month to complete designated route during local business hours of operation
- Proficient communication skills
- Willing to travel to various parts of the Milwaukee area
- Prior street team experience is preferred, but not required
- Passion for live music, culture, and social media
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Compensation:
This is an unpaid volunteer position. However, if accepted onto the street team, you will have access to free tickets for shows at Riverside Theater, Pabst Theater, Miller High Life Theatre, Turner Hall Ballroom, and the Vivarium based on ticket availability
Usher
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Usher position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patrons attending events. This role ensures smooth entry, seating, safety, and overall satisfaction of attendees. Ushers act as the first point of contact, assisting with directions, ticket verification, and enforcing venue policies while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides guest assistance by greeting and welcoming patrons as they arrive at the venue.
- Assists guests with finding their seats and navigating the venue(s).
- Provides information about event schedules, amenities, and venue policies and procedures.
- Checks and scans tickets for authenticity and correct seating.
- Directs guests to the appropriate entrances, sections, or VIP areas.
- Monitors crowd flow and ensures adherence to safety regulations.
- Reports any suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents to security or management.
- Assists in emergency evacuations as directed by House Manager and Event Staff Management.
- Distributes programs, flyers, or promotional materials as needed.
- Assists with post-event clean-up and resetting of the venue.
- Adheres to all safety standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
