Employee Spotlight: Ann Lennart
Did you know the Pabst Theater Group venues host some of the most breathtaking and unique weddings and private events? Beyond the concerts and performances, our historic spaces become the backdrop for unforgettable celebrations, milestone moments, and memories that last forever.
Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Ann Lennart, our Director of Private Events, who helps couples, companies, and groups transform our venues into one-of-a-kind experiences. Her passion for event planning, hospitality, and attention to detail make every celebration truly unique.
Read on to get to know Ann, her favorite venue memories, her event day survival snacks, and the creative personal touches she's helped bring to life for unforgettable celebrations.
What is the best show you’ve ever seen at our venues?
July 2011 - Bon Iver kicking off the self-titled album tour with two nights at The Riverside, and Mayor Barrett declaring it 'Bon Iver Day' in the city. I was sitting at the back of the theater during soundcheck and Justin Vernon walked around solo on stage, playing every last instrument himself. That attention to detail really stuck with me and it translated into two incredible shows.
If you could bring any artist here (living or dead), who would it be?
I would love to see a big arena act come through the Pabst or Riverside performing a stripped-back version of their show. I'm looking at you, Taylor Swift.
What’s one thing about your job that people would be surprised to learn?
When you host a wedding at our venues, we really give you free rein of the space. All the nooks and crannies, backstage, in basement hallways and attics. Hosting your wedding on the stage where some of your favorite artists have performed? That kind of access is really special for a music lover (and it makes for great photos)!
What is your go-to survival snack and beverage for long event days?
Honestly, anything you can get your hands on. You're usually running around all day and eating whatever you can, whenever you can. The goal is protein and water, but it usually ends up being Diet Coke and Ian's Pizza at 9:30 pm.
Do you have a favorite or most unique wedding/private event theme someone has pulled off in one of our spaces?
I love when couples really lean into the music venue aspect. We've had weddings where couples created their own merch, used ticket stubs for guest invites, and curated playlists of their favorite artists they've seen at the venue to give as favors. Any way you can make it personal and unique to you is always going to be memorable.
What is the most rewarding part of seeing a couple's big day come together from the initial tour to the final dance?
By the time their wedding rolls around, we've usually been working together for 12-18 months. You build a relationship and excitement with them during that time, and it's really cool to see it all come to life with their friends and family on the day.
Ann’s work is a reminder that our venues are more than just places to see a show, they are spaces where memories are made and stories are shared. Whether it’s a wedding surrounded by music history, a private event, or a celebration, Ann and her team are dedicated to making every moment unforgettable.
She treats every event like a headlining performance, making sure every couple and guest receives the rockstar treatment from the first tour to the final song of the night. We're grateful to have Ann as part of the Pabst Theater Group family and for the passion, creativity, and care she brings to every guest and celebration.
